Publish Your Articles

Security lense

Security Lense invites you to publish your articles, research papers, and book reviews on traditional and non-traditional security threats, geopolitical conflicts, military strategies, cyber warfare, climate change, global pandemics, classic defense frameworks, and global security and related topics. All submissions go through an editorial review for scope, language, and clarity. Submissions also go through a plagiarism check. Please note that we do not have in-house fact-checkers and primarily depend on authors to ensure the accuracy of their statements.

All submissions must be the original work of the author(s). Submissions must not be under consideration by other publications and must not have been published elsewhere.

WARNING: We use plagiarism and AI checking software and will blacklist any author from Security Lense and all associated publications if their work has been written via AI or has been excessively plagiarized. We are partnered with many universities as well.

Submission Guidelines

Article Submissions

  • Articles range from 1,000 – 3,000 words.
  • Articles are well-researched but the language used in them should be understandable and not overly jargon-based/academic
  • Use hyperlink citations in the text of your article to cite important aspects and/or statistics in your piece. No bibliography/references or footnotes are required.
  • Plagiarism percentage should NOT exceed 15%.

Op-ed Submissions

  • Opinion articles pieces range from 800 – 1,200 words.
  • Compared to articles, they do not require much research and are primarily based on the opinions of the author. That being said, the author’s opinions should be logical.
  • Opinion pieces usually do not contain any hyperlink citations (or bibliographies) but if there are any important facts/statistics, then you should cite them via hyperlinks.
  • Plagiarism percentage should NOT exceed 10%

Research Paper Submissions

  • Research papers should range from 2000 – 6,000 words.
  • They should be written in academic language.
  • Papers must be properly cited and must contain a bibliography/reference section at the end. You may use any iteration of APA or Chicago as your citation style but if you are using Chicago, please make sure to use endnotes instead of footnotes. You can use Mendeley or some other reference management software to help you.
  • Plagiarism percentage should NOT exceed 15%.
